Police have released more information about a bus rollover on Highway 401, east of Napanee ON Sunday night.
Lennox and Addington OPP, along with paramedics and fire services, responded to reports of a commercial passenger bus that had rolled and ended up in the ditch in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 in the area of Old Wilton Road around 7:15 p.m.
The bus was carrying 47 passengers along with the driver at the time of the incident.
Eight individuals suffered non-life-threatening injuries, including lacerations, broken bones and dislocations. Injured passengers were transported to two local hospitals for medical treatment.
The highway was closed for approximately four hours.
The investigation into the cause of the rollover is ongoing.
