It will come as no surprise that we had a lot of snow in the Quinte region in January.
According to readings taken at Canadian Forces Base Trenton, 117.6 centimetres fell.
2026 is now the new January record holder, surpassing 1999, where 113.9 centimetres accumulated in the first month of the year.
Meantime, last month is also one of the highest snowfall in recorded history.
It is second all time to December of 1977, where 120.5 centiumetres was recorded at 8-Wing.
