The Wellington Dukes defeated the Newmarket Hurricanes 6-4 on Saturday.
Zachary Carrier, Tristan Williams, Cole Ellis, Aiden Lee, and Landon Marleau scored for the Dukes.
The Hurricanes opened scoring early in the first period. The Dukes responded with a goal of their own, but the Hurricanes scored again to take a slight lead going into the second frame. In the second, the Dukes scored three back-to-back goals to take the lead. In the third, the Hurricanes scored twice early to even the score, before the Dukes came back with two more goals to reclaim their lead and win the game.
The Dukes are back in action on Friday. They’re hosting the Trenton Golden Hawks.
