Quinte Health is working to ensure quality is at the top of its list for strategic goals.
President and CEO Stacey Daub provided a 2025-2026 Quarter 3 Strategy Update at Tuesday’s board of directors meeting.
Overall, through the end of the quarter, five of their 11 goals have been achieved with another four well underway.
Daub says ensuring quality is a collaborative effort.
“Quality really means re-empowering our frontline teams to be able to think about how they’re delivering care, what’s the experience of their patients, what are some of the measures, like wait times and other things? And having them come up with goals and really focussed on that. So all of our programs have come together to create advisories, and they are setting goals.”
She is particularly proud of their Health Experience Partnership Program giving patients a say in how hospital programs are run and more.
“And they’re doing things like, if we ever hire anybody into Quinte Health at the executive level, we have a patient on the hiring panel. And it changes the nature of the discussion, amongst clinicians, and brings a different, I just think a different perspective.”
Actions are underway to improve the standing of two other goals.
