An unwanted person turned out to have outstanding warrants for their arrest.
Belleville police responded to a call of an unwanted person at around 12:20 a.m. Wednesday in the city’s north end.
Police say the homeowner had reported a male on the property carrying a gas can and covering up property cameras.
When they arrived, police located the man asleep on the property.
Further investigation revealed he had outstanding warrants by both Belleville police and Quinte West OPP, including a committal warrant to be taken into custody for outstanding charges.
As a result, he was arrested, and his warrants were executed.
