The mayor of Brighton and his family have recently returned from a two-week vacation in France.
However, Brian Ostrander did put his mayor’s hat on for a couple of days while there.
The family stopped in to the village of Anisy which last year named a street after Brighton native Clarke Lawson who
died during the village’s liberation on D-Day in the second world war.
Lawson was a member of Queen’s Own Rifles Regiment.

Ostrander and Anisy’s mayor signed an official twinning charter for their respective communities and laid wreaths at Rue Clarke Lawson.
