A Prince Edward County resident is one of 22 Ontario seniors to be honoured with the Ontario Senior Achievement Award.
The award recognizes people who have made outstanding contributions to their communities through voluntary or professional activities after the age of 65.
Naturalist Terry Sprague has been acknowledged for his dedication to nature conservation and public education.
Over his 50-year career, Sprague has written more than 6,200 “Nature Stuff” columns and at the age of 80, remains an active volunteer in Prince Edward County and the Quinte region.
During the pandemic, he hosted monthly nature webinars for seniors, fostering connection and curiosity.
