A single vehicle rollover has resulted in impaired driving charges in Cramahe.
Northumberland OPP responded to a call at 3 a.m. on Thursday, for an accident on Trent Valley Drive. Emergency Medical Services and firefighters also attended the scene.
The vehicle was located on its roof and off the roadway. The driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was in the vehicle.
Officers at the scene began an impaired driving investigation, and as a result, 19-year-old Owen Turner from Brighton was charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and failure or refusal to comply with demand.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in July.
In addition to the court date, the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for a week.
