Four goals in the first period helped to give the Trenton Golden Hawks the lead and the eventual victory over the Toronto Patriots at the OJHL’s Governor Showcase in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
The Golden Hawks were able to add another goal in the second period and hold off a rally from the Patriots to win the game, 5-4.
All five goals came from five different players during the game.
Goal scorers include Matt Indovina, Beckett Ewart, Kale Mace, Taeo Artichuk, and Isaiah Shantz.
The victory extends the Golden Hawks winning streak to four games.
Trenton will head home to the Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens on Friday night to take on the Haliburton County Huskies.
