Belleville police have made an arrest in connection with a pepper spraying incident last week.
Officers were called to an address on Liddle Lane on August 6 after a male pedestrian appeared to randomly damage a parked vehicle, then spray the owner with pepper spray when confronted.
The male suspect also allegedly attempted to spray a neighbour who came to the aid of the vehicle owner.
Investigation revealed the male had also damaged a second vehicle on the roadway.
Police say a suspect was arrested late last week.
Thirty-four-year-old Albert Donnan of Belleville is charged with two counts each of assault with a weapon and mischief.
Donnan was released from custody on an undertaking with conditions following a bail hearing on August 9.
Belleville police thank the public for assisting in the investigation.
