Lennox and Addington OPP have released more information about a fatal collision on Highway 401 in the Napanee area Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews responded to a collision involving two vehicles and a transport truck near Palace Road around 10:30 a.m.
An occupant of one of the vehicles was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Three others were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
Any witnesses to the collision or who may have dash cam video are urged to call the L&A County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
Eastbound Highway 401 between Palace Road and County Road 4 remains closed with an emergency detour route in place.
Some other minor collisions were reported in the Napanee area Wednesday afternoon as motorists made their way around the collision.
It appears many people took routes other than the official Emergency detour route resulting in a influx of traffice in Napanee.
