The tornado warning for the Bancroft, Hastings Highlands and Denbigh areas has ended but the area remains under a severe thunderstorm watch.
At 2:29 PM EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts, pea- to dime-size hail and heavy rain.
This line of severe thunderstorms is located from Pine Valley to Marmora, moving northeast at 50 km/h. Hazard: Torrential downpours with 50 mm falling within an hour and 90 km/h wind gusts.
Locations impacted include: Bannockburn, Denbigh, Bon Echo Provincial Park, Bon Echo, Eldorado, Lingham Lakes, Queensborough, Sheldrake Lake, Slate Falls, Skootamatta Lake, Vennachar, Glenfield, Cloyne, Northbrook, Griffith, Kashwakamak Lake, Matawatchan, Esmonde, Centennial Lake and Pine Valley.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles.
If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year.

Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
