One person was hurt, and another charged with impaired driving in connection with a weekend collision in Stirling-Rawdon.
Central Hastings OPP, Stirling-Rawdon Fire and Hastings-Quinte Paramedics responded to a crash near the intersection of Bronson Rapids and Bateman roads just after 10 p.m. Friday where a pickup truck had left the road and struck a tree.
A female passenger located at the scene was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the male driver fled in the vehicle but was arrested following a foot pursuit.
As a result, 23-year-old Christopher Childs of Centre Hastings was charged with:
Operation while impaired – alcohol
Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Fail to comply with a probation order
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on July 25.
