An investigation into a fire in Campbellford has resulted in a firearm charge against a Trent Hills man.
Fire and police responded to a report of a fire at a Campbellford residence on the morning of June 3.
The fire was extinguished and it was determined there was nobody inside.
The Ontario Fire Marshal began an investigation and the structure was searched.
On July 2, following a month long investigation, the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit arrested 40-year-old Gregory Comtois, charging him with Unauthorised Possession of a firearm.
The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.
