Northumberland OPP have charged a 33-year-old person in connection with a Canada Day assault in Trent Hills.
Officers were called to a residence around 10:30 a.m. on July 1 where they took one individual into custody, charging them with assault, assault cause bodily harm – choke, suffocate or strangle, uttering threats and mischief.
The accused will not be named to protect the identify of the victim and was held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice.
