Belleville City Council has approved several street closures for upcoming events this summer.
West Zwick’s Park won’t be the only place in Belleville to see fireworks on Canada Day.
On Monday, council approved a request from Jordan Shortt and HBS Property Maintenance in Foxboro to close Ashley Street from Mudcat Road to Ducette Road from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on July 1 for a community celebration concluding with a fireworks display.
This will be the fourth year for fireworks in Foxboro.
The Downtown District’s request for closures for several events was also given approval.
Front Street between the south side of Victoria Avenue and the north side of Bridge Street and Campbell Street from Pinnacle Street will be closed during Downtown at Dusk on June 21, for the Caribbean Festival on August 17, Buskerfest on August 24 and on September 7 for the Blues Festival.
