Ontario Provincial Police have laid over 500 charges against four people in a firearms and drugs investigation at a home in Tyendinaga Township.
Members of the East Region Community Street Crime Unit with help from members of the Lennox and Addington County and Quinte West Detachments as well as the East Region Tactics and Rescue Unit and the OPP Canine Unit, executed a search warrant at the home on Thrasher Road Friday.
Nearly 200 grams of suspected cocaine, more than a kilogram of suspected methamphetamine, almost 2000 grams of suspected MDMA (aka ecstasy,) as well as quantities of suspected heroin and psilocybin were seized, along with a large quantity of pills.
Nearly 100 firearms were seized including handguns and long guns. Some of those firearms were reported as stolen. Police say several of the firearms were loaded
A large quantity of ammunition, Canadian currency, paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking and additional recovered stolen property were also seized.
Four people from Tyendinaga Township were arrested and charged including 27-year-old Joshua Boldrick, 30-year-old Matthew Boldrick, 58-year-old Terry Boldrick, and 58-year-old Sharon Boldrick.
There were 508 charges under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act were laid including the following:
- Possession of a non-restricted or restricted firearm without a license – 100 counts
- Knowledge of an unauthorized possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm – 100 counts
- Unauthorized possession of a loaded firearm – 68 counts
- Unauthorized possession of a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose – 68 counts
- Possession of a firearm that was obtained by the commission of an offence – 24 counts
- Possession of a firearm for the purpose of trafficking – four counts
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order – 30 counts
- Careless storage of a firearm – 21 counts
- Possession of stolen property – 28 counts
- Tampering with a serial number
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine – four counts
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine – four counts
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – heroin – four counts
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs – four counts
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs – four counts
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs – four counts
All four were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
