A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the Quinte region.
Environment Canada says conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that could produce strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
Wind gusts could reach upwards of 90 km/h with toonie-sized hail.
The thunderstorms could roll in this afternoon and continue into the evening.
