A train struck a person in Belleville over the long weekend.
Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway officials confirm to Quinte News that a CPKC train made contact with a person on the tracks near 27 Newberry St. in the city’s east end around 10 p.m. Sunday.
There is no word on the victim’s condition.
Belleville Police attended the scene for assistance.
The involved train moved from the area early Monday morning.
