Brighton Council has approved the purchase of a property by Memorial Park but it’s not yet known how it will be used.
On Monday council authorized the purchase of 21 Kingsley Avenue, for $550,000.
A home currently stands on the property at the corner of Kingsley Avenue and Sanford Street.
Mayor Brian Ostrander tells Quinte News the property will be incorporated into the larger property the municipality owns around it which includes Memorial Park and the lawn bowling club.
He says discussions will begin on what exactly will be done with the property but there is no timeline.
