On Thursday April 18, United Way Hastings and Prince Edward hosted a special Thank You Spaghetti Dinner in honour of its dedicated volunteers, coinciding with National Volunteer Week. The event served as a token of appreciation for the invaluable contributions and selfless service provided by the volunteers who tirelessly support the organization’s mission.
The dinner, held at Christ Church Anglican in Belleville, brought together volunteers from various backgrounds and experiences to enjoy a delicious meal and celebrate their collective impact on the community.
“The charitable sector relies so heavily on the hard work and generosity of volunteers to bring about lasting change in our community,” said Brandi Hodge, Executive Director United Way HPE. “Each year, volunteers contribute thousands and thousands of hours toward our efforts truly exemplifying the power of community and the difference that can be made when we come together to support one another.”
Thank you to McDowell’s Your Independent Grocer, Metro Belleville and Maple Dale Cheese for donating food items towards this event and Christ Church Anglican for providing a wonderful venue space for all to enjoy.
National Volunteer Week (April 14 – 20), serves as a reminder of the importance of volunteerism and the profound impact it has on individuals and communities. United Way extends its heartfelt thanks to all volunteers for their continued support and commitment to building a brighter future for all.
