Belleville police have laid charges against two people following a call Wednesday night to the west end.
Around 10:15 p.m., they responded to where a suspect was attempting to hit people with a No Parking sign.
Officers learned a second man brandished a knife during the assault.
Paramedics took one person to hospital.
A 37-year-old Deseronto man and a 25-year old man (no address supplied) were both charged with assault with a weapon, while the older suspect was also charged with assault causing bodily harm.
