Belleville native Trevor Hoskin scored at 13:39 of overtime to lift the Cobourg Cougars past the St. Michael’s Buzzers 5-4.
Hoskin finished with two goals and two assists to help save Cobourg’s season as they faced elimination in their OJHL East Conference semi-final.
Instead they head to Toronto for Game 7 Tuesday night.
The winner meets the Trenton Golden Hawks in the East Conference final.
Raiders rout the Panthers
The Napanee Raiders are one win away from advancing to the third round of the Provincial Junior C Hockey playdowns.
Cameron Krupa scored twice with an assist in the Raiders’ 6-2 rout of the Panthers in Port Hope.
Napanee leads the series 3-0 and hosts Game 4 Tuesday night at 8:30 at the Strathcona Paper Centre.
