A 21-year-old from Belleville is facing charges in connection with a sexual assault on a child.
On Saturday, Quinte West OPP, with the assistance of Belleville police executed a search warrant as the result of a sexual assault investigation, arresting one person.
The accused has been charged with:
Sexual interference (person under 16 years of age)
Sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age
Makes, prints, publishes or possesses for the purpose of publication any child pornography
Possession of child pornography
The accused, who is not being identified to protect the identity of the victim, was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Belleville.
