One person is facing charges following what police called an “impaired driving occurrence” with a tractor.
Northumberland OPP were on patrol on County Road 30 in Brighton on Saturday where a vehicle was seen being unable to maintain its lane.
An officer conducted a traffic stop that led to an impaired driving investigation.
The driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.
Nineteen-year-old Jacob Trottman of Warkworth is charged with the following:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
