The Belleville Senators defeated the Utica Comets 3-2 on Saturday night.
Egor Sokolov, Angus Crookshank, and Zack Ostapchuk scored for the Sens.
It was a scoreless first period for both teams before Utica got on the board in the second.  Belleville answered with a goal of their own to take a 1-1 deadlock into the final frame. In the third, Belleville pulled ahead with two more goals to take the lead. Utica scored once more, but couldn’t catch up, leaving Belleville with the win.
The Sens are back in action on Monday morning to host the Hershey Bears.
