A rezoning application to allow for a major mixed-form housing development in Wellington will be up for discussion at an upcoming meeting of Prince Edward County’s Planning and Development Committee.
Sterling Homes is seeking a Zoning By-law Amendment for 380 Wellington Main Street to allow the construction of approximately 253 units consisting of lane-front townhomes, rear-lane townhomes, back-to-back townhomes, and single-detached homes.
The land is located south of Millennium Trail, west of Cleminson Street, and north of Wellington Main Street, within the Ward of Wellington.
The site would be accessed from two points: one on Wellington Main Street and one on Cleminson Street.
The February 21 meeting is a combined statutory public meeting and decision meeting.
It will be held at Shire Hall (332 Picton Main Street) beginning at 7 p.m.
The public is invited to participate either in-person, virtually, or through written comments submitted to the respective planner prior to the meeting.
