OPP executed a drug warrant at a home in Hastings on Wednesday.
The Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant was executed around 1 p.m by members of the OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit.
A search of the person, as well as the residence, led to the seizure of $350 in Canadian currency and drugs suspected to be 7.5 grams of cocaine, 20 Oxycodone tablets, 14 Hydromorphone tablets, two rifle rounds and four shotgun shells.
Sixty-three-year-old John Clark of Hastings was charged with the following:
- Traffick in Schedule I substance – cocaine
- Traffick in Schedule I substance – opioid – two counts
- Possession of ammunition contrary to probation order
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – under $5000.
Police say the total street value of the seized drugs is approximately $1050.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
