A traffic complaint and the subsequent vehicle stop led to a man being arrested for shoplifting in Campbellford.
The traffic stop and arrest were made Saturday but the shoplifting incident occurred a few weeks earlier in November.
Facing a charge of theft under $5,000 is 43-year-old Shane Maclean of no fixed address.
He has a future court date in Cobourg.
