A temporary warming centre will be open in Bancroft starting Tuesday until a permanent warming centre is set up and ready for use.
The temporary location will be open nightly from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m .at the Bancroft Bible Chapel Lobby on Hastings Street North.
Security staff will be on site and provide support to anyone seeking shelter.
Hastings County has obtained a mobile unit to use as warming centre but it is not scheduled to be shipped to Bancroft until January 23.
Efforts are being made to get the permanent location operational as soon as possible after it arrives.
