The recent completion of a major infrastructure project in the village of Stirling’s downtown core was the highlight of the year for mayor of Stirling-Rawdon Bob Mullin.
The multi-million dollar project involved the rebuilding of the George Street main wastewater pumping station to allow for future growth and much more.
” … then all the pipes, water sewer stormwater in the entire downtown core. That involved four of the main streets, replacement of the traffic lights so that they’re now sensored lights to help traffic flow.”
Other accomplishments in Stirling-Rawdon include improvements to the walking trail in the village, the resurfacing of the bridge on Stirling-Marmora Road, new playground equipment in Springbrook, and the completion of an overarching infrastructure plan to guide future planning.
