The warden of Hastings County Bob Mullin says response times will improve for residents in the central part of the county.
“We will no longer be pulling ambulances from Trenton and Belleville when the Centre Hastings ambulance gets called elsewhere, it will be here in Stirling and based in Stirling.”
All of the current paramedics’ bases will remain open.
Other accomplishments in Hastings County in 2023 included the hiring of senior management after several directors either retired or moved to other positions and a new strategic plan developed by the county’s own staff in consultation with council and the public.
