Belleville police have made an arrest in connection with a suspicious person incident in the city’s east end.
On December 10, a woman reported a man made multiple attempts to get her into his car in the area of Dundas Street and Herchimer Avenue.
Friday, police arrested and charged 79-year-old Thomas Boyle of Belleville with criminal harassment and three counts of breaching his probation conditions.
He was held for a bail hearing.

The accused was previously convicted in a sexual assault case involving a teenage girl in 2018.
He was sentenced to two years in jail, three years probation, a 20-year Sex Offender Registry order and an order to not be in parks or school grounds for the next 20 years.
