Belleville police responded to 81 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on November 28, 2023 to 5 a.m. on November 29, 2023.
Domestic Assault
On November 28, 2023 at 9 p.m., Belleville police were requested by EMS to attend a residence on Albert Street to assist with a 41-year-old female who was combative. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to a 42-year-old male who was also a resident of the home. The investigation revealed that the male was assaulted by the female and that he sustained some minor injuries. The victim was attended to by EMS on scene. The female aggressor was arrested for domestic assault and was held in custody at the Belleville Police Service. The accused will appear in court today, November 29, 2023, for a show cause hearing.
