The 15th annual Feed the Meter campaign is set to begin in Belleville, Trenton and Picton.
Funds from the campaign will go towards supporting Food for Learning programs in Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
The funds are collected from downtown parking meters during the month of December 2023.
On Giving Tuesday, November 28, the campaign will launch with road tolls happening in Trenton and Picton.
The Trenton location is at the intersection of Front and Dixon at the base of the North Bridge while the Picton location is at the intersection of Main and Talbot by the LCBO.
There are many ways for the community to give.
In Belleville, the community can give either through the parking meters in downtown Belleville or at the Quinte Mall where donations can be made at guest services.
In Prince Edward County, donations can be made through the parking meters in downtown Picton or through the Passport Parking App.
Finally in Quinte West, the Trenton Downtown Business Improvement Association at 6 Dundas Street W and the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce at 97 Front Street will accept donations on behalf of the campaign.
Many downtown businesses in Quinte West will have donation boxes.
