Downtown Blues, after organizing the successful 2023 Bluesfest, is organizing another event to raise money for Gleaners Food Bank
A Blues concert will be held at Sans Souci in downtown Belleville on November 30, with $5 from every ticket going to Gleaners Food Bank.
The Shawn Dore Big Blues Band will be playing, returning after their performance during Bluesfest.
Carol Feeney, the event organizer, says that monetary donations are important to Gleaners too, not just food contributions.
“Because they have food producer partners, what they’ve told me is that for every one dollar you donate to Gleaners Food Bank, it equals five bucks.”
