Police have yet to lay charges in connection with an assault early Sunday in the north end of Belleville.
Police responded around 12:15 a.m. after receiving several reports of a disturbance at a North Front Street business.
A male allegedly engaged in a fight with another patron resulting in a 35-year-old male from Prince Edward County being taken to Kingston General Hospital.
The victim remains in serious condition.
The Belleville Police Criminal Investigations Division is continuing the investigation.
