It appears a fire Tuesday morning on Wooler Road in Quinte West was electrical in nature.
Around 3:00 a.m., witnessed reported flames on the wall of a house near Downs and Gunter Settlement roads.

“Fire originated in the basement, in the wall, went right up to the upper bedrooms. This is a prime case where the working smoke detectors woke the people up.”
Damage is pegged around $100,000.
Three people escaped the home safely.
