An assault charge has been laid after a family dispute earlier in the week.
Belleville police investigated a report on Tuesday of a male and a youth involved in a dispute outside their residence, during which the male struck his 14-year-old stepchild.
On Wednesday, as a result of the investigation, a 63-year-old Belleville man was located, arrested and charged with Assault.
He was held for a bail hearing.
