Central Hastings OPP have charged a Centre Hastings resident in connection with the death of a 16-year-old boy.
The boy was pronounced dead in hospital on March 30, 2021, prompting an investigation by the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, alongside the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
The Central Hastings OPP Crime Unit has now charged Sarah Voss, age 37, with failure to provide the necessities of life – child, and failure to comply with an undertaking.
The accused is in custody, and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on November 6.
