Building activity in Prince Edward County took a jump last month.
There were 88 permits with a construction value of $9.88 million in October, up from the same month in 2022 when 61 permits worth $7.66 million were granted.
A dozen of last month’s permits were for new residences, including secondary suites.
Year-to-date construction is still down compared to last year.
So far this year, 670 permits worth $148.5 million have been granted in Prince Edward County.
Through the end of October 2022, there were 870 permits worth $188.5 million issued.
