A 33-year-old male is facing charges in what Northumberland OPP call an incident of intimate partner violence.
Officers responded to a disturbance just before 4 a.m. Sunday at a property in Bewdley.
A man from Bewdley was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and spousal assault.
The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
He is scheduled to appear in court December 13.
