Quick response by the Prince Edward County Fire Department kept a vehicle fire from turning into a big brush fire early Thursday.
Firefighters were called out at 3 o’clock in the morning to the Millennium Trail not far off Salem Road where a side-by-side ATV was fully engulfed in flames.
Some of the brush along the trail had also caught fire, however, the fire was declared under control in about a half an hour.
Operators of the vehicle were nowhere to be seen and the OPP are investigating.
No one was injured.
