Elexicon Energy is warning customers about a scam using its company name.
The electricity provider reports individuals claiming to be from Elexicon Energy are contacting customers and threatening disconnection unless a money e-transfer is made immediately.
Elexicon says this is not how they operate and encourage customers to visit their website to view bill payment options and learn more about the disconnection process.
If you have been a victim of a scam or fraud, contact your local police department and notify the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
