The Belleville Senators wrapped up a short two-game AHL pre-season schedule with a 5-2 loss in Laval on Sunday.
Cole Reinhardt and Matt Boucher scored for the B-Sens. Boucher also had an assist.
Many in the lineup won’t be around for Saturday’s season opener in Hershey as the Ottawa Senators re-assigned ten players to Belleville over the weekend, none of whom were in the lineup Sunday. They are goaltender Mads Sogaard, defencemen Dillon Heatherington, Jacob Larsson, Max Guenette and Nikolas Matinpalo, as well as forwards Zack Ostapchuk, Egor Sokolov, Roby Jarventie, Jiri Smejkal and Tarun Fizer.
That brings Belleville’s training camp roster to 33, which will be trimmed to 24 or 25 before the season opener in Hershey against the Calder Cup champion Bears on Saturday night.
