The Wellington Dukes defeated the Haliburton Huskies 3-1 on Saturday night.
Panayioti Efraimidis, Ben Vreugdenhil, and Connor Hunt scored for the Dukes.
Neither team could get an edge in the first period, but the Dukes got the first point in the second. The Huskies got their first late in the period but the Dukes answered with a quick goal to retake the lead before the end of the frame. A final goal in the third period extended their lead before the Dukes took home the win.
The Dukes host the Burlington Cougars this afternoon, marking their third straight day of play. The puck drops at 2:30.
