A speedy response by Belleville Fire kept a Saturday evening fire from spiralling out of control.
Belleville fire responded to a property in Belleville early in the evening, to find a fire in the basement of a small apartment building.
After arriving, firefighters quickly put out the fire.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
Later that evening, firefighters responded to another call for a fire in Belleville at 9 p.m. but that one turned out to be a minor cooking accident, instead of a blaze.
