Quinte West Fire responded alongside Hastings Quinte Paramedic Service to Hamilton Road at 2:40 p.m. after receiving a call that a man had fallen down a well.
The man had fallen halfway down the well before being able to grab the water line for the property and preventing himself from sliding further down.
Firefighters leapt into action to rescue the trapped man, securing a fire hose around him which they then used to raise him up and out of the well.
The man suffered no injuries from the fall.
