A Quinte West man faces charges after a car slammed into a house on Old Highway 2 near Aikins Road around noon Tuesday.
When OPP arrived on the scene the driver of the vehicle was arrested while a passenger had left.
A search for that person involving the K9 Unit was unsuccessful.
Thirty-three-year old Scott Comeau was charged with dangerous driving, possession of property obtained by crime and failing to comply with a probation order.
The house suffered a lot of damage but no one was home at the time and there were no injuries.
