The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board (ALCDSB) reports that the 24th Annual ALCE Foundation Golf Tournament raised $20,357.38 for the Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic Education Foundation (ALCE Foundation).
Since 2007, the ALCE Foundation has provided more than $500,000 in financial assistance to over 1,450 ALCDSB students and their families.
The Foundation helps families needing urgent financial assistance with unexpected expenses such as eyeglasses, medical supplies, food, clothing and transportation.
The golf tournament hosted more than 135 golfers at Trillium Wood Golf Club in Corbyville on Thursday, August 17.
The ALCDSB organizes fundraising events and opportunities for the Foundation every year, including an annual silent auction that will be taking place in May 2024, concurrent with Catholic Education Week.
